ADI Facilitator Institute
This institute, facilitated by Dr. Victor Sampson, the creator of the ADI model, is designed for educators—district supervisors, instructional coaches, and teachers—who want to lead ADI workshops in science, math, or engineering for elementary, middle, and high school educators. Dr. Sampson will provide the skills and knowledge needed to effectively facilitate ADI workshops, ensuring participants can support their colleagues in implementing this innovative instructional approach.

Facilitator Institute (formerly Train the Trainer)
- This two-day institute is designed for district supervisors, instructional coaches, specialists, or teachers who want to learn how to facilitate an Introduction to ADI workshop for elementary and secondary teachers. The Introduction to ADI workshops are designed to help teachers develop the knowledge and skills needed to start using the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) instructional model.

Tuesday, July 15th

- Experience an ADI lab investigation from start to finish.
- Learn about the nature of arguments in science.
- See how ADI is aligned with state and national standards.
- Learn about ways to support the needs of different students during each stage of the approach.
Wednesday, July 16th

Practice teaching a portion of an Introductory ADI workshop
- Try out what you have learned.
- Get feedback from the course instructor.
Plan an ADI Introductory workshop under the guidance of the institute instructor
- Determine when to offer it and who should attend.
- Discuss ways to get teacher buy-in.
- Preparing for potential obstacles to implementation.

We're excited to welcome you to our hometown, Austin, Texas. The ADI Facilitator Institute will be held at Star Hill Ranch. Star Hill Ranch is a meticulously recreated Texas Hill Country community, reflecting the early 1900s. The buildings have been carefully relocated from various parts of the state and restored to their original charm. Visits to the early German immigrant settlement of Industry, Texas, near Brenham, inspire the ranch. It represents years of planning, renovation, and preservation and is a living tribute to Texas history.
