Ashley Murphy is the Director of Professional Learning at Argument-Driven Inquiry. She is a former middle school teacher in one of the first districts in the nation to adopt the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) instructional model. She used ADI to transform lab experiences in her 6th, 7th, 8th, and Honors Biology classrooms and implemented ADI across multiple grade levels and content areas. She also has experience implementing ADI in classrooms with students who have IEPs or need additional support. She found that ADI helped her students become more engaged in the processes and practices of science and she enjoyed watching their abilities to design investigations and write scientifically increase.
