In each of our online classes, you will learn how to provide rigorous and equitable instruction in your classroom and see examples of ADI in action.
Online Introduction to ADI, Elementary
This course is an introduction to the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) instructional model for elementary educators (grades 3 -5). This course includes multiple modules (one for each stage of ADI). Each module includes one or more videos and an assignment to complete. The videos include presentations about how ADI works and classroom examples of ADI in action. At the end of the course, you will earn a certificate of completion. This course takes approximately 6 hours to complete.

Online Introduction to Argument-Driven Math
This course is an introduction to the Argument-Driven Mathematics (ADM) instructional model for secondary educators (grades 6 -12). This course includes multiple modules (one for each stage of ADM). Each module includes one or more videos and an assignment to complete. The videos include presentations about how ADM works and classroom examples of ADI in action. At the end of the course, you will earn a certificate of completion. All participants also receive a pre-publication copy of our ADM e-book for Geometry and Algebra. This course takes approximately 6 hours to complete.
Facilitating High Quality Explicit and Reflective Discussions
This asynchronous course describes ways to increase the quality of discussions for students during the Explicit and Reflective Discussion Stage of the Argument-Driven Inquiry instructional model. Success during this stage of the ADI instructional model is based around two key skills - being able to address scientific concepts in a way that will promote student conversation and being able to build off of student ideas during the live discussion. This course takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
Improving Student Proposals and Arguments
This asynchronous course describes ways to increase the quality of proposals and argument boards for students during stages two and three of the Argument-Driven Inquiry instructional model. In particular, the course will focus on the types of proposals and how they should be approached, and what should be included on an argument board. This course will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
